Advertising Disclosure

This website displays advertisements provided by Monetag, a third-party ad network. Monetag may serve ads based on your browsing behaviour, interests, and prior visits to other websites. This is known as interest-based or behavioural advertising.

We have no control over the specific ads Monetag displays or their targeting criteria. We receive revenue when visitors interact with ads, which funds the free operation of this site.

How to control ad personalization: You can opt out of interest-based advertising at any time by visiting About Ads (optout.aboutads.info) or Network Advertising Initiative. After opting out, you will still see ads but they will not be personalised based on your browsing history.

Monetag & Third-Party Advertising

Android App (Google Play)

App Data Practices

The Piglix MC Mods Android app does not collect, transmit, or store any personally identifiable information. Here is exactly what the app does and does not do:

• No user accounts: The app does not require or support registration or sign-in of any kind.
• No personal data collected: We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, location data, or any personally identifiable information.
• Favourites & Downloads (local only): Items you mark as favourites or initiate for download are stored exclusively on your device using Android's local storage (SharedPreferences). This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us or any third party.
• Content cache (local only): To support offline browsing and faster load times, shader/mod content fetched from our API is cached locally on your device in a SQLite database. This cache automatically expires after 24 hours and never contains personal data.
• Internet access: The app connects to the internet to fetch shader and mod listings from our API (api.piglixmcmods.dev). No personal information is sent with these requests.

App Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)

The Android app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to help us understand how users interact with the app (e.g., which shaders are viewed most, button clicks, and app crashes). This data is collected in an anonymous, aggregated form and does not include personally identifiable information such as your name, email, or precise location.

Firebase Analytics may collect device identifiers and usage data. You can learn more about how Google uses data when you use their partners' sites or apps by visiting policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

In-App Advertising (Google AdMob)

The Android app displays advertisements served by Google AdMob, a mobile advertising platform operated by Google LLC. AdMob may collect and use your device's Advertising ID and other non-personal device signals to serve relevant advertisements.

Google's data practices for AdMob are governed by Google's Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

You can opt out of personalised ads on Android:

• Android 12 and later: Go to Settings → Privacy → Ads → Delete advertising ID.
• Older Android versions: Go to Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation.

Third-Party Libraries Used in the App

The app integrates the following third-party libraries. Each may access limited device information as part of their normal operation:

• Google Analytics for Firebase — tracks anonymous usage data and crashes to improve the app
• Google AdMob — serves in-app advertisements
• Cached Network Image — downloads and caches shader thumbnail images locally on your device
• Connectivity Plus — detects your network connection status to show offline/online indicators
• Open Filex — opens downloaded shader/mod files with Minecraft on your device
• URL Launcher — opens external links (such as CurseForge download pages) in your device browser

None of these libraries are provided with personally identifiable information by our app.

App Data Security

All app data — including your favourites, download history, and cached content — is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. All communication between the app and our API uses HTTPS encryption. No login, registration, or personal information is ever required to use the app.

General

Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Neither this website nor the Android app is directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Minecraft's audience includes younger players, and we serve only non-personalised ads where required by law (including for visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom). The Android app is rated Everyone on Google Play. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information to us, please contact us immediately at realpiglix@gmail.com and we will remove the information promptly.

Your Rights Under GDPR (EEA & UK Visitors)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR:

Data Retention

We retain website server log data for up to 90 days for security and analytics purposes, after which it is deleted. Contact messages are retained only as long as necessary to resolve your inquiry. Cookie consent preferences stored in your browser remain until you clear your browser data or withdraw consent. App data (favourites, downloads, cache) is stored only on your device and is fully within your control — you can clear it at any time from your Android device's app settings. We do not retain personal information longer than necessary for the purposes described in this policy.
